Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Needled mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Important Medical Disclaimer
Needled is a personal logging tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, dosing recommendations, or treatment guidance. The App records information you enter and reflects it back to you. It does not require you to identify your medication — any pen names or dosage labels you choose to enter are for your personal reference only and are never interpreted, validated, or used to provide medical guidance. The App does not calculate dosages and does not suggest injection schedules.
Always follow the guidance of your healthcare provider regarding your medication, dosing, and treatment plan. Never alter your treatment based on information displayed in the App. If you have medical concerns, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Description of Service
Needled is a personal tracking application that allows you to:
- Log injection dates and times.
- Track weight entries over time.
- Monitor injection pen dose counts.
- Optionally label pens with a name and strength for your own reference.
- View progress charts and statistics based on your logged data.
- Receive injection and weight reminders on your chosen schedule.
- Upload body progress photos and track custom measurements (Pro features).
The App is medication-agnostic by design. Any medication names or strength labels you choose to provide are optional, stored only for your reference, and are never used to provide medical guidance.
Account Registration
To use the App, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials.
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the App. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 16 or older. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will suspend their account and delete their data.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Needled offers an optional Pro subscription that unlocks additional features such as the Photo Journal and custom metrics.
- Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store as auto-renewable subscriptions.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Play Store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Play Store settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will not affect your current billing period.
User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including injection logs, weight entries, photos, notes, and custom metrics. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality to you.
We do not view, analyse, sell, or share your content with third parties. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you upload does not violate applicable laws or the rights of others.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or its systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Use the App to collect data about other users.
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, graphics, text, code, and the Pip character, is the intellectual property of Needled and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Availability and Updates
We strive to keep the App available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Needled shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from:
- Reliance on any data displayed in the App.
- Interruptions to the App's availability.
- Loss of data due to technical failures.
- Any health outcomes related to your use of the App.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Needled, its owners, and contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
